Low Keng Huat Construction Company (Singapore) Private Limited was established by Tan Sri Dato Low Keng Huat and his three brothers in 1969. It started as a general building construction company.
People's Park Complex

1973

PEOPLE’S PARK COMPLEX1st major residential and commercial construction project by the Group

People’s Park Complex is a high-rise mixed-use building, consisting of a 25-storey residential block above a 6-storey podium of shops and offices.   The complex was completed in June 1973.  It was the largest and first shopping complex in Singapore with an atrium at the time.

1976

52-storey OCBC CENTRE – an iconic skyscraper in the 1970s

OCBC Centre was one of the first skyscrapers in Singapore. Construction was completed in November 1976.  It was the first building that involved international architects and was an exemplar of innovative construction technology, which allowed it to be completed in less than 2 years.

1977

SABAH FOUNDATION BUILDING (now known as Tun Mustapha Tower) – an iconic architecture in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

The 30-storey aluminium and glass building was completed in 1977. It has a central core with steel radial brackets supporting each floor and was one of the three such buildings in the world based on this design concept.

1985

MAS BUILDING – the Group’s 1st CIDB Award for Construction Excellence (Certificate of Merit)

The 30-storey building was completed in 1985.

1986

MANDARIN GARDENS – one of the Group’s earlier residential development projects

Mandarin Gardens, a 23-storey condo totalling 1006 dwelling units, was one of the mega-sized condominiums in Singapore. The project was completed in 1986.

1992

LOW KENG HUAT (SINGAPORE) LIMITED, fka Low Keng Huat Construction Company (Singapore) Private Limited, was listed on SGX-Mainboard on 9 March 1992.

1996

CHIJMES – an iconic historic landmark in the city hub of Singapore

Restoration of Chijmes was completed in 1996, after almost five and a half years of extensive construction and restoration works.

The project won the 1997 Architectural Heritage Award, presented by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), in recognition of well restored gazetted national monuments and conserved buildings in Singapore.

Key Residential Development Projects between 2000 and 2020

THE EDEN @ TAMPINES – a joint venture with 30% stake, the housing development project of 430 executive condominiums was completed in 2003.

TWIN REGENCY – a joint venture with 30% stake, the twin tower freehold condo located in District 03 was based on a Design-and-Build concept.  The project was completed in February 2007.

DOMAIN 21 – two condominium blocks with a total of 141 units were completed in 2008.

REGENCY SUITES – a joint venture with 20% stake, the freehold condo, comprising 84 apartments in a 36-storey tower and 20 SOHO units in a 7-storey block, was completed in 2008.

ONE-NORTH RESIDENCES – a joint venture with 20% stake, the project comprising two condo blocks with a total of 405 units were completed in 2009.  The residential property won the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards 2010 (Runner Up).

SOUTHBANK – a joint venture with 30% stake, this residential block of 39 floors and 197 units was completed in 2009.

DUCHESS RESIDENCES – a joint venture with 30% stake, this 5-storey development comprising 120 units was completed in 2011.  The project won several accolades such as the FIABCI Singapore Property Awards 2011, MIPIM Asia Awards 2012 for Best Residential Development (Silver), International Property Awards 2013-2014 for Best Landscape Architecture in Singapore, Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards 2015 (Silver).

THE MINTON – an award-winning condo comprising 1145 units was completed in 2014. The project bagged two awards: Landscape Industry Association Singapore (LIAS) Awards of Excellence 2015 (Gold) and Building & Construction Authority (BCA) Construction Excellence Awards 2015 (Merit).

PARKLAND RESIDENCES – a project of 680 units under the HDB Design Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) was developed in 2016.

KISMIS RESIDENCES/TRANQUILIA@KISMIS – Kismis Residences, consisting of 31 units of landed terrace, and Tranquilia@Kismis, consisting of 7 units of strata landed houses, were completed in 2018.

2010

HARD ROCK HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTRE – Singapore’s 1st integrated resort in Sentosa island

Genting International awarded the contract to the Group to build the Hard Rock Hotel – one of six hotels at the Resorts World Sentosa.

The hotel opened in January 2010, with 360 rooms, 26 differently designed function rooms, as well as a large column-free ballroom with seating for 7,300 guests.

NEX MALL – the construction of one of Singapore’s largest suburban malls

The 7-storey mall is one of the largest malls in North-East Singapore.  It was completed in November 2010 and awarded the BCA Green Mark in 2018.

2014

PAYA LEBAR SQUARE – the Group’s 1st major office-retail development

Paya Lebar Square, a 13-storey commercial building with 3 floors of retail shops and 10 floors of commercial office space, was completed in 2014.

The building was designed to qualify for the BCA Green Mark GoldPlus certification in 2013.

2019

CITADINES BALESTIER and BT CENTRE – a serviced residence and commercial development by the Group

The construction of the 166 serviced residence units atop a 3-storey retail podium was completed in June 2019.

2021

UPTOWN@FARRER and LYF@FARRER – a mixed-development, comprising a single 21-storey residential block of 116 exclusive units and 7 retail, next to an integrated 18-storey serviced apartment block of 240 units.

The Uptown@Farrer residential development obtained TOP in September 2021, and Lyf@Farrer commenced operations in February 2022.

Klimt Cairnhill

Current

KLIMT CAIRNHILL1st ultra-luxury condo development

Klimt Cairnhill is a single 36-storey tower with 138-units freehold condo in Prime District 9, Singapore.  It is built around a conserved 1902 Anglo-Malay bungalow converted into its clubhouse.

The project won the Best Ultra Luxury Condo Architectural Design and Highly Commended Best Ultra Luxury Condo Development at the 11th annual PropertyGuru Asia Property Award in 2021.

DALVEY HAUS – a JV partnership, this freehold residential development in prime District 10 within the GCB enclave consists of 17 units across a single 3-storey block and another single 4-storey block. Dalvey Haus scored high and won the Layout Excellence Award at EdgeProp Singapore Excellence Awards 2021.
